Kundalini Yoga, also known as the yoga of awareness, is a wonderful yoga style for body, mind and soul. It helps you to increase your overall health, wellbeing and vitality as well as the flexibility and strenth of body and mind. KY combines movement, breathing, postures, hand positions (mudras) and the chanting of mantras.
The classes are open to everybody, regardless of fitness level, age ore previous yoga or meditation experience.
Kundalini Yoga was brought to the West in the late 1960’s by Yogi Bhajan and is suitable for everybody.

What is it?
Weekly 60 minutes Kundalini Yoga classes
- Warm up, followed by
- yoga sets for the flexibility of the spine, to activate your energy and to release stress and tension from your body and mind. During class you will be asked to focus on your breathing while doing the exercises and you will also learn a couple of simple breathing techniques that you can use at home (to calm down, to energize yourself, to feel balanced, …).
- Relaxation and short meditation at the end to set you up for the day.
This class and yoga style is suitable for everybody regardless of level of fitness and flexibility. You start where you are and adapt when necessary.
What you need for the class:
- Wear comfortable clothes.
- Water bottle
- Yoga mat
- Meditation cushion or rolled up towel to make it easy and comfortable to sit cross legged. You can sit on a chair if sitting on the ground is not an option for you.
- Blanket for relaxation.
